Structural Engineering Calculations With Go Plans

Early in the design process, we highly recommend working with a structural engineer alongside an architect. Not only is it beneficial from a build perspective, it can also avoid costly mistakes; reducing construction waste and optimising material usage.

At Go Plans we can work with you throughout the end-to-end process and provide architects and engineers to bring your designs to life. Our in-house structural engineer will ensure that architectural designs are not only aesthetically pleasing, but are also structurally sound, prioritising safety and durability.

If you already have planning sketches available, we can suggest architects and project managers to support you through to completion.

Our Process

One of our expert designers will work with you to create technical drawings for your project. These will comply with drainage, fire safety and other regulations.
Our structural engineer will then make the necessary calculations to ensure that your project is structurally sound.
Your completed construction documents will be sent to Building Control for a “Plan Check”. After Building Control has served the Initial Notice, 5 working days later you are free to begin your build. Your contractor will be responsible for keeping building control in the loop and arranging site visits with the building control officer to ensure a successful sign off at the end of the build.
